Going Deeper with Biblical Hebrew

At the Center for Biblical Text and Translation, we are always excited about quality resources on the original languages. We are even more excited when those resources are produced by someone on our own team. Going Deeper with Biblical Hebrew by Dr. Chip Hardy and Matthew McAffee was released at the beginning of February. Dr. Hardy is the Senior Research Fellow for Old Testament at the Caskey Center and Associate Professor of Old Testament and Semitic Languages at SEBTS.

Going Deeper with Biblical Hebrew primarily aims to equip second-year grammar students of biblical Hebrew to read the Hebrew Scriptures. If you would like to learn more, check out this recent “Beyond the Book” interview by Chad Burchett at SEBTS here.

MA Biblical Studies

The Master of Arts (Biblical Studies) prepares students for further academic work in the areas of the Old and New Testament, for teaching at an undergraduate level, and for ministry in the local church. The program accomplishes these goals by increasing competency in biblical languages, facility in sound hermeneutical principles, and ability to synthesize key theological themes.

Tyler Craft

Associate Director/Research Associate for New Testament

Tyler is pursuing a PhD in Biblical Studies, researching the citation of Psalm 110:1 in the Synoptic Gospels. He holds a BA in Biblical Studies from Moody Bible Institute and an M.Div in Christian Ministry from SEBTS. He and his wife Natalie have five children (their oldest daughter is with the Lord). When he is not busy studying, Tyler enjoys time with his family, reading fiction, the symphony, hiking, and writing music. He is a member at Redemption Church at New Hope in Wilson, NC, where he is involved in music and teaching.
